Focus Piknic | Alicia Hush

Alicia Hush is no stranger to Montreal dancefloors, least of all to the Mutek crowd. After her 2012 live performance at the festival, she's been a regular fixture (both as a performer and an attendee). This year, she's bringing her minimal stylings to Piknic Électronik for a live show that we can't wait to see.

What first got you interest in electronic music?

I was born in the special little techno town of Kitchener/Waterloo! I think there was something in the water ;)

Why and when did your first start performing live?
Mutek 2012 was one of my first performances. I was deeply drawn to the magic of moving an entire room with my own ideas and sound.

How would you define the Hushlamb vibe?
Groove addicts, dance floor warriors, a uniquely funky bunch!

If given the chance to perform with any artist in the world, who would you choose and why?
I'd love to share a bill with a dance floor master... maybe Ricardo Villalobos, Dan Bell or Zip.

What’s your favourite summertime activity?
Deep laughter in green parks with great friends....and beers !
