TRIPLE PIKNIC BEST OF

HEY HEY! Somebody pinch us, we must be dreaming. What a massive, fairy-tale long weekend! We don’t know about you, but we’re still floating on a cloud. We couldn’t imagine a better way to kick off September than with the roster of incredible artists we had the honour to welcome, PERFECT weather (finally!) and so many smiling festivalgoers living it up.

Three Piknics, That makes for a few special memories. And here are some of our absolute favourites:

1. Claptone

Claptone put on his white gloves, his hat and his mask to launch our triple Piknic. What a show! We can’t tell if it’s the “Claptone effect” or pure luck, but EVERYBODY was clapping along to the beat. #clapclapclap

P.S: We love his lil’ mysterious side, it makes things all the more exciting.

2. A wedding proposal  

We were so happy to catch this one: A Piknic marriage proposal! Seriously. If this lovely young lady had dreamed of a simple and discrete proposal in a countryside field, err… too bad. Congratulations to the happy couple!

3. The long-awaited Misstress  

This Sunday, Piknic welcomed a monster crowd. Everyone came through for the set of the summer by the one and only Misstress Barbara! With big beats and Hard Techno, she took us to the floor as only she can. We love our Misstress and our Misstress loves us! We can’t imagine a summer without her at Piknic!

4. TIZI

TIZI completely blew us away with her set. Let’s just say the Vidéotron Mobile stage was fully lit.

5. George FitzGerald

Arriving juuuuusssttt before his set time, George FitzGerald took control like a champ from beginning to end. In the zone, he closed off our long-weekend in style! #crazyset

6.YOU!  

We can’t forget each and every one of YOU, friends and fans of Piknic, who came out in force for this crazy long weekend. A bunch of you even came EVERY DAY. That’s real #Piknicspirit. We can’t even express how much we love your smiling faces. THANKYOUTHANKYOU.

On that note, we leave you with some news (in case you didn’t know): Piknic is moving next year! Yeeeep! That means there’s only 4 PIKNICS to reminisce and say goodbye to our one and only Homme de Calder. We’re sure you’ve shared a lot of memories together, you can’t leave him without saying goodbye. Take advantage of the end of the season, because it’ll go by fast Fast FAST.
