INFOPROG PIKNIC #4 - JUNE 5th 2016

The city is abuzz with the sound of dancing feet! With the season in full swing, Piknic Électronik once again teams up with MUTEK to present two stages of forward thinking dance music this Sunday. At the Solotech stage, the party kicks off with the MUTEK All stars, the international mix of Damian Romero, Nerone and Koki from the MUTEK Mexico, MUTEK Barcelona and MUTEK Japan teams. This is one back-to-back collaboration that’s guaranteed to conjure up some unexpected musical alchemy. Montreal’s own Alicia Hush will then follow up that incredible jam session with a unique live set full of dubby textures and ear-caressing beats – if you caught her Igloofest performance this year, you know you’re in for a treat! Finally, our good friend and Piknic veteran, the legendary Josh Wink, will take us home with a set of banging house, techno and everything in between.

Our partnership with MUTEK extends to the Vidéotron Mobile stage, where Montreal-via-California techno maven (and yet another Igloofest veteran!) Stefny Winter will be unleashing her next level vibes and barreling rhythms – we’re so glad to have her back with us. Finally, we’ll be closing the second stage with a SURPRISE ARTIST, who could it be? Keep an eye out on Sunday and find out!
