Piknic is rolling into summer with a heavyweight lineup, as Loco Dice (DE) headlines a day filled to the brim with bumping beats at the Piknic stage, all on June 2^nd. You’ll definitely want to come early, as Eloïze (QC)’s deep take on jackin’ house will begin the festivities in style, before she passes the baton to rising star and international scene heavyweight Lauren Lane (US) to keep the party grooving. Over at the Boisé stage, the OCTOV collective will present a session of subterranean, rolling techno, beginning with Dogme (QC)’s chunky beats, followed by D. Blavatsky (QC)’s high-speed futurism, and finally Fjaak (DE)’s unique, high intensity take on techno.

Piknic will then take a short break on June 9^th, but will come right back on June 16^th, when Life and Death will present the Piknic stage. The fun starts with Interstellar Funk (NL)’s multi-tempo electronica explorations, before DJ Three (US) shifts us towards a soulful direction, and Life and Death label head DJ Tennis (IT) takes things home in the headline spot with a set full of deep, sunset-ready, Miami style rollers. You’ll be smiling from ear to ear! Meanwhile, at the Boisé stage, Homegrown Harvest will take command. Jorel (QC) will start us off right in the opening spot, followed by The Holy (QC) before the day caps off with a big back to back: Gene Tellem B2B Kris Guilty (QC): a can’t miss day for lovers of elegant, high quality Deep House!

June 23^rd is St-Jean weekend, so Piknic is proud to deliver day full of 100% local talent! At the Piknic stage, Sinca (QC) will deliver a set emphasizing depth and melody, before the one and only Kora (QC) shows us how deep music is done ici au Québec. Dancing shoes mandatory! The Boisé stage meanwhile, will welcome special guests all day long. Want to know who? You’ll have to come bright and early! What we can say, is that the fun will include the sounds of Lou Fre$h(QC) who’ll combine everything from trap to noise, to global beats into a heady stew, and DJ Sunset (QC) who’ll bring us home on a disco flex.

But we’re not done yet! This month’s last Piknic takes place on June 30^th and will see the highly anticipated return of Chus + Ceballos (ES)! Their 2017 appearance at Piknic set the dance floor on fire, and we can’t wait to hear what they have cooking for us this time! Don’t come too late either, as Alex Pycke (QC) will kick off the proceedings with a lean and minimal take on dance music to get you in the mood. DJ hi chew (QC) will start the day at the Boisé stage with some majestic, chord heavy house, before tagging in Bowly aka OJPB (QC) who’ll present a masterful selection, with Octo Octa (US) then bringing us home with a variety of underground sounds.
