BEST OF PIKNIC #9

Tarak Sillini

Yep, we know: last Sunday’s weather wasn’t exactly optimal for Piknic #9. So while some of you decided to opt for a Netflix marathon, we offer a hearty salute to the TRUE SOLDIERS who came, rain or shine. Nothing stopped ‘ya. Still, where were all of those Piknic fans who said they were ready to dance no matter the weather? Anyways… ;)

Here’s our top moments of last week’s intimate Piknic:

1.Moody Jones’ set

No joke: everyone was at the Vidéotron Mobile stage! And we know why. Moody Jones was giving off such a GREAT vibe: energetic, a giant smile plastered on his face and the perfect beats to let loose (no matter the weather). We can’t wait to hear the recording!

2.Gros Blogue’s pedal boat race

The Gros Blogue gang came by on Sunday to offer an extreme challenge to all comers: A PEDAL BOAT RACE! Swan Lake was rocking and the competition was FIERCE throughout.

3. Sunshine. FINALLY.

All’s well that ends well! As planned, the sun finally came out in the evening to treat everyone who came out. A sublime moment that gave us the perfect BOOST to end a wonderful evening.

4. tINI closes the night

We couldn’t ask for more than to end with our curly-haired warrior, tINI. She took us to Ibiza with that set. Check out an extract of her performance HERE.

This weekend, we’ve got not one but TWO Piknics. Saturday with Week-ends du monde, we’re heading under the Calder for Music Is My Sanctuary’s 9th birthday. It’s FREE too. Then Sunday, Piknic #10 features Martin Buttrich, Head Nodders and Adam The Goose b2b Jay Newtone. The weatherman says this Sunday’s going to be BEAUTIFUL, so no excuses!

P.-S.: Don’t forget your sunscreen! Safety first.
