BEST OF PIKNIC #19

Last Sunday was Piknic #19 of the season and to celebrate, we threw on a sweatshirt! #hoodieweather Don’t worry though, summer is NOT over! The best is yet to come and there will be warm days! Plus, we’ve got a few more Piknics to finish the year in style. Last Sunday’s best of:

1. Petit Piknic

After getting cancelled due to bad weather, we FINALLY welcomed Petit Piknic! For this 3rd Petit Piknic of the season, the Chromatic Junior team came through with a range of fantastic activities. This time, we even got a rose-crafting workshop (wasn’t it pretty?).

Still, our favourite had to be sonic creation with fruits and vegetables! It’s easy, you just touch the fruits and veggies to make sounds (underwater sounds, tropical sounds…). 2. J’vlyn d’Ark

Here name says it all: J’vlyn took us into some deep, dark realms with that set. Many of her dedicated fans were in the place and couldn’t wait to hear her trademark sounds. Obviously, it all ended with that classic “one more song!” chant. Legend!

We also wanted to note Softcoresoft’s performance right before. That was completely siiiiick as well. All in all, a great vibe at the Vidéotron Mobile stage.

3.Gros Blogue’s bucket castle CHALLENGE 

The gang at Gros Blogue came through Piknic. To celebrate, they challenged all Piknic goers to a BUCKET CASTLE CHALLENGE. What a great idea! Two teams went head to head in intense, ONE MINUTE combat. But who built the biggest castle? That’s what everybody wants to know. We’re not telling, so watch Gros Blogue’s video recap (coming soon) to find out!

4. Weval live

The guys from Weval got the crowd on their good side thanks to those chill beats. It was the perfect music for those sunset, 2 for 1 drink specials that were going on! Then, as night fell, they pulled a 180 and took us on one heck of a ride. #heavyartilery Suddenly, it was one crazy party. Talk about charging the crowd up for the next set!

5. Julia Govor

We LOVE Julia! pedal boat ride with Pat from programming. Behind that angelic disposition, this tiny DJ stunned us all with barrelling techno and some amazing dance steps. She didn’t stop for a single second! Check her out HERE. It’s worth a look, let me tell you.
