One moment sparked Sheevs’s passion for music. Something struck inside her soul, deeper than anything she’d felt before. At that moment she knew she wanted nothing more than to recreate that feeling. Not only for herself, but for others. From that day forward, music not only became her life—it gave her life. Sheevs’s unwaivered passion for music led her from small-town Fort McMurray, AB to Vancouver, BC in 2015 to learn everything she could about audio engineering and sound design. She started Nimbus School of Recording and Media in 2016 and she has been playing her cards right ever since. In less than a year, she went from sparking the decks at house parties, to booking gigs in venues and festivals across Canada. Over the past 2 years, she has released several collaborations and this year she will be releasing her first EP. With every song crafted as her own style of bass music, she is ready to share her sound with the world. She has worked with many artists in 2017 and will have more collaborations coming in 2018. Sheevs is also part of Blueprint’s female DJ collective, Femme Fatale. The group has played several high-profile events including FVDED in the Park & Seasons. Beyond the decks, Sheevs continues to earn her name in the music industry by connecting with her fans and volunteering for notable music festivals including Shambhala, FVDED in the Park & Chasing Summer. You’ll often find her hitting up local shows to support her friends and meet new people in the industry.
