Driss Skali

Originally from Casablanca, he traversed the Atlantic to the musical and snowy city of Montreal, Canada. You may know him as the founder of Casbour Records in 2011, or as one half of Death by Analogue, but Driss has also been steadily creating music in his own right. In the past he has toured with Carl Cox and played at the one and only Techno Parade in Paris, but more recently he has been creating waves and gaining popularity by regularly playing with artists such as Adriatique, Seth Troxler, Art Department, Tale Of Us, Radio Slave, and Satoshi Tomiie, to name just a few.
Perhaps influenced by the extreme weather and changing seasons of the very city where he found his musical inspiration, Driss can deftly navigate between a dark after-hours club, such as the legendary temple of sound, Stereo Club (where he currently holds a residency) and a sunny daytime festival such as Piknic Electronique in Montreal or Family Piknik in Montpellier, France. He respects the venue and the people who come to hear him play, while somehow (miraculously!) remaining loyal to his distinct, intricate, and melodic sound at the same time.
As a result, his sound has gained him fans not only in Montreal and France, but in Ibiza, where he plays annually, and in Miami, from the Winter Music Conference. He also maintains a solid base in Morocco due to his residency for several years at Pacha Marrakech. He shows no signs of slowing down; in the past 6 months alone, Driss has played at the renowned Verboten New York, opened for the likes of Dennis Ferrer or Stimming, and manned the decks all night long at Stereo's little sister, Stereo Bar, to critical acclaim and appreciation. He brings ingenuity and rigorous scrutiny to each of his sets, ensuring that his audience will be kept on their toes, both sonically and literally. Put on your dancing shoes and prepare to be surprised.
