Cosmic JD

A key presence in Toronto’s underground scene, Cosmic JD is a DJ, producer, and founder of the Hypnotic Mindscapes collective. His music fuses modern sounds with carefully used elements of nostalgia. Subtle links are created between genres that are otherwise not so intertwined. His sets promote a search for mental and bodily stimulation through higher states of euphoria; an exploration of abstract concepts that seek to minimize the importance of the notion of time and space, disconnect from the mundane, and transport oneself to new subliminal territories through sound suggestion.
