Piknic X MEG Mtl Weekend (September 1-2-3)

It’s MEG Mtl’s 20th anniversary and for this very special occasion, the popular Festival is joining Piknic Électronik to soundtrack 3 full days of fun, this Labour Day weekend! At the Plaine des jeux, the party starts on Saturday September 1^st with the stunning sounds of Wasa Bibi, Sugarface Bell Flo, Tupi Collective and the colourful bubbling beats of British guest Quantic in the headlining spot.

Sunday September 2^nd will be a special one at the Solotech Stage, as the incomparable Misstress Barbara makes her annual pilgrimage to Park Jean-Drapeau to serenade us with her sweet sounds, after a scene-setting intro set by Mike Larry. Meanwhile, the Moog Audio stage will rock out to Qualité De Luxe’s Savanéy, Tignasse and Montreal icon Poirier’s sumptuous mix of Afrohouse and international sounds.

The very next day, MondaySeptember 3^rd, The Solotech stage will open to the deep house sounds of Head Nodders, followed the underground grooves of Enfants Malins. You’ll want to save energy though, as global superstar Charlotte De Witte will be headlining, bringing her percussive and energetic sound to Montreal. As for the Moog Audio stage, Carte Blanche has quite a loaded program for you, starting with J’vlvn d’Ark’s spicy vision of house before French artist Da’Gil from the Breton Astropolis festival goes back to back with Phil Fiction to close the long-weekend in style.

Piknic #18 (September 9th)

As we dive into the heart of September, the Solotech stage will welcome a bevy of talent from across the globe. September 9^th begins with the sounds of Toronto’s Ciel, whose breakbeat house flavours will definitely be one to watch. Then, Ireland’s Or:la will bring her unique style of dance music to the dance floor – we’re delighted to have this rising underground star grace our stage - before America’s Danny Daze takes us on a journey through today’s latest and greatest sounds.

The Moog Audo stage will come courtesy of online radio station N10.AS with an all MTL lineup. Juju Le Moko will bring adventurous club sounds to the table, Flip Liquid will deliver expert crate digging, and DJ Sportswear will take us to the future with his avant-guard beats.

Piknic #19 (September 16th)

It’s a bubbly, smiley, techno kind of day at the Solotech stage this week, as we welcome Brazilian luminary Gui Boratto in the headlining spot for a soulful adventure that’ll have us swooning in the sunset. You’ll want to arrive early however, as our very own Zepha will open things up with his own take on a deeper sound, followed by Mike Laz.

Meanwhile, House and Hip Hop lovers will find their fill at the Moog Audio stage, starting with the booming beats of Charles Cozy. Shaydakiss will take over the reigns next with a wildstyle selection borrowing in equal measure from rap and dance music, before Planet Giza delivers a contemporary interpretation of classic soul grooves.

Piknic #20 (September 23rd)

It’s a huge week for fans of Detroit icons at the Solotech stage, as welcome the legendary Omar S in the headlining spot to share his city’s musical heritage with all of us. Ahead of this, our own Lis Dalton will begin the day on a deep house tip, before English phenomenon Chaos in the CBD rolls through with more soulful vibes. Get ready for fun in the sun!

The Moog Audio stage will begin with the sounds of Ēmikkē’s bumping tech house before Bunzinelli keeps things moving on an clicky, electronic tip. Finally, we’ll all dance to the sounds of Akufen, as this Montreal mainstay delivers the twitchy grooves we all know and love.

Piknic #21 (30 septembre)

Ce n’est qu’un au revoir! For this wonderful Piknic Électronik 16^th season’s grand finale, we’re inviting the one and only Henrik Schwarz to deliver a live performance – get ready for a world class deep house clinic! Ahead of this, our very own Nymra & Sofisticated will open the day with some subterranean vibes and Anti-Anti will keep things bouncing ahead of the main event.

At the Moog Audio stage, we’ll be hosting the world famous Piknic staff party! Who’s on the lineup, why Monsieurlouis, followed by Los Renardos, Remix Angelil, Alix and finally Puddimaster. Expect good times and fantastic beats as always.
