INFOPROG PIKNIC #6 - JUNE 19, 2016

This week at Piknic Électronik, we’re doubling down on the party, starting on Thursday evening with the return the very popular FREE Piknics at Les Jardins Gamelins. Local stars Eloïze and Mightykat will have the honour and pleasure of lighting up the first of three of these special Piknics with an urban flavour that’s sure to please one and all.

Then on Sunday, grab your party hats and get ready to toast all the birthday boys and girls, because it’s a celebration! Specifically, Montreal’s very own Eresys crew is commemorating their 10th anniversary, so we’re handing them the reigns to the Solotech stage to do it up in style! First, Kris Tin will set off the party with a sweltering set of deep tech, priming the Calder for two big back-to-back jams. Yan Leigh and Kasteniede will handle the first, unleashing their mastery of minimal onto Piknic’s rapturous crowds, before handing it all over to Mono-Poly, Le Boucher and Hooll for the grand finale. If you’re a fan of subtle grooves and deep vibes, you already know Eresys, so you can be sure they’re preparing something special for this Sunday!

Over at the Vidéotron Mobile stage, we’ve got even more birthdays and jamming back-to-back set to get those booties shaking. AndFriends & Don Pepino will be bringing big, booming beats for all of the house music lovers in the place, ensuring jacking sounds and sweaty grooves are represented in full. Then, to top it all off, Roux Soundsystem will celebrate their own 10th anniversary with the ‘turn up’ – presenting the latest and greatest tech house jams to keep those hips shaking.
