INFOPROG - Piknic #16 #17 #18 - September 3th 4th 5th

Triple Piknic! It’s back-to-back-to-back Piknic time, this September 3rd, 4th AND 5th!

First, Piknic starts early this week on Saturday September 3rd! This special event takes place at the Solotech stage, where Jayemkayem kicks offs the day with the most futuristic in bass, hip hop and other urban sounds before passing the baton to Cabana and Senudiz who’ll take us on a psychedelic journey through house. From there, WYLN will go back to back with Thomas White, exploring the wildest contours of club music before Germany’s Claptone ends the night in style with deep dance grooves.

Sunday September 4th is a hometown special! We love Montreal: Piknic’s home is always close to our hearts, and so this Sunday’s event is an all-local event! At the Solotech stage, it all begins with the sounds of V.Ro’s deep house groove, before Jimmy Strip delivers the same big jackin’ beats and bouncing sounds he’s brought to Montreal’s after-hours scene. Last but not least, a true Montreal icon, friend of Piknic and unstoppable force of nature Misstress Barbara will once again take charge of the sunset slot to the joy of her countless adoring fans!

Want more? DANCE TILL DEATH will bring even more Montreal talent to the Videotron Mobile stage. Trulyors will deliver a LIVE set of deep house experimentation to start the day, balancing light and darkness in equal amounts to get you moving. Then, Igloofest veteran Cassandria Daiva will mix a patented mix of tech grooves for a true subterranean journey before handing the reigns to Enfants Malins whose focus on drums and percussion will bring the day to a climax.

The very next day on Monday September 5th, our friends at NEON will deliver a scorching Solotech stage lineup, starting with Montrealer Greenewood’s mix of upfront percussion and thundering bass. Ireland’s own Bicep will follow her up with some atmospheric house of all shapes and styles – these BBC Radio 1 Afterhours mix veterans are hard hitting and dreamy. Finally, London’s George FitzGerald will bring his mutant house and techno to the Calder – UK fans unite!

At the Videotron Mobile stage, Lexem will take us on the kind of atmospheric techno journey that we can’t help but love before Tizi journeys into the subtlest of house.
