Montréal, June 27, 2024 - Yes, it's hot, and even hotter on the Piknic Électronik site, where the party's been in full swing for the past month! On the agenda for July and August, a selection of artists with sounds from all horizons will be at the helm of Montrealers' favorite summer ritual. Among others, Acid Arab, MCR-T, MRD, TDJ, Sammy Virji and Dennis Ferrer will offer their explosive energies to the best of audiences. The flagship satellite events of Piknic's regular season, OfF Piknic will be sure to spoil us, with a lineup featuring such international party stalwarts as Diplo, MK, Chris Lake, SCH, Sasha b2b Eli & Fur and the emblematic label Anjunadeep, or star Amélie Lens and legendary Marseille rap group IAM. More gentle and suitable for little ears, Petit Piknic invites families free of charge on Sunday afternoons, July 7 and 14.

A Star-Studded Month of July 🌟

This July, Parc Jean-Drapeau will welcome more than one star. Not to be missed: the bewitching French oriental duo Acid Arab on Sunday, July 7, whose DJ sets are renowned for taking listeners on an elated and colorful journey. Techno goes international:  on Sunday, July 14, MCR-T will be the ambassador to the Berlin scene, Jacques Greene will be on stage on July 20 for a suave performance of which he has the secret, TDJ will be repping Montreal on July 21, and England's UKG scene will be represented with Sammy Virji on July 28. A true pillar of house music, New Yorker Dennis Ferrer will be giving a lesson in house music that’s sure to be memorable on August 25!

A Comfortable Site for Everyone's Enjoyment

Piknic Électronik returns to the picturesque Jardin Le Petit Prince in Parc Jean-Drapeau, conveniently located just steps away from the metro. This cherished venue, embraced during the festival’s 20th-anniversary celebrations, offers a magical setting amidst nature and the river. Two stages, a main one presented by Fizz, and a secondary one presented by National Bank, delectable street food trucks, refreshing bars, and immersive installations – everything is designed for both safety and enjoyment. Exciting enhancements this year include improved sound design and infrastructure at the Fizz Stage, more space for street trucks, as well as a plus-sized and repositioned TERRASSE PIKNIC for even more room to boogie on down. Additionally, picnic tables have been added along the popular riverside path for added convenience.

Petit Piknic: the Perfect Free Family Event for Little Ears

100% free event, Petit Piknic invites families, youth, and the young at heart to revel in the joys of EDM and summer fun! On the program this month, two Sunday afternoons, from noon to 3 p.m.: July 7 and 14 for top-notch performances on the Fizz Stage. Delectable food trucks and bars serving mocktails/cocktails will delight every taste bud, and a plethora of engaging activities for children. Off Piknic: More Exciting Than Ever! 💥

OfF Piknic is a concert-style event on the Piknic site, alongside the regular Piknic Électronik program. Highlighting the entire EDM scene by hosting its biggest stars, these satellite events will take place on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as a few Thursdays and even one Monday, from late afternoon to nightfall. We're making the most of the Piknic Électronik site to offer additional concerts, so you’ll never miss an opportunity to celebrate the Montreal summer! This July's line-up includes Diplo on Canada Day, cult labels Anjunadeep and Defected, Marseilles rapper SCH and the festive MK, Sasha b2b Eli & Fur and Chris Lake. In August, it's the turn of techno star Amélie Lens and legendary rap group IAM to set the site on fire. There'll be plenty of excitement, and nothing's to be missed!
