Piknic Électronik Launches Its Most Stellar Lineup Yet!

Montreal, April 9, 2024 – As temperatures rise in Montreal, anticipation builds for the return of Piknic Électronik! Prepare your most vibrant attire, gather your friends, and get ready to groove on the grass dancefloor to the beats of renowned artists. Montreal's beloved summer tradition kicks off on Sunday, May 19, promising an unparalleled lineup that surpasses anything seen in its 20-year history. Headliners include, Ahmed Spins, Nico Moreno, Chase & Status, Jacques Greene, Acid Arab, Dennis Ferrer, Misstress Barbara, Hot Since 82, BLOND:ISH, Mall Grab, Joachim Pastor (live), will bring the best sounds of summer to the best of audiences. This year also marks the return of the OfF Piknic satellite events, featuring the unique style of Dom Dolla, as well as other international sensations such as Solomun, Charlotte de Witte, Diplo, and iconic labels All Day I Dream and Anjunadeep. This magical experience unfolds at Jardin Le Petit Prince in Parc Jean-Drapeau, until October 6, on a site designed around the famous Fizz stage and the new National Bank secondary stage – more details to come shortly!

A Star-Studded Piknic Électronik 🌟

Parc Jean-Drapeau will host a constellation of stars this summer. The mesmerizing beats of Moroccan producer Ahmed Spins will kick it all off on Sunday, May 19 on the Fizz stage. The following day, French industrial soundsmith Nico Moreno will be dusting off the site after months of hibernation. Poland's VTSS will be back in Montreal, and fans of uncompromising techno won’t want to miss it! Leading British dub duo Chase & Status will also be on hand, as will Germany's Township Rebellion, sure to intoxicate piknicers with their mystical aura. Our very own Jacques Greene is on the Piknic bill, ready to deliver his signature suave performance – the secret to his exceptional international career. Other not-to-be-missed performers include American Sara Landry, a new icon on the global EDM scene, and the bewitching French oriental duo Acid Arab, whose DJ sets are renowned for taking listeners on an elated and colourful journey. Techno goes international: MCR-T is ambassador to the Berlin scene, TDJ will be repping Montreal, and Sammy Virji will be waving England's UKG flag. A true pillar of house music, New Yorker Dennis Ferrer will be giving a lesson in house music that’s sure to be memorable!

As summer transitions to fall, Piknic Électronik keeps the party spirit alive and kicking. Prepare for an unforgettable encore featuring the legendary Misstress Barbara, as well as the energetic Hot Since 82, followed by the frenzied rhythms of Haitian Francis Mercier. And since ending the season with bang is a house specialty, Piknic Électronik will be hosting BLOND:ISH and her revitalizing energy, up-and-coming talent Mall Grab, as well the nostalgic rhythms of England’s Marsh. And as a grand finale, how about fist pumping to the melodies of Frenchman Joachim Pastor (Live)?

Well known across the globe, Montreal has made a name for itself among pulsating, rhythmic cities and their multiple, multicultural festivities. Piknic Électronik has always given pride of place to local artists who keep the city vibrant year-round, and that ain’t gonna change! Once again this year, more than fifty local artists will take to the stage every Sunday (and a few Mondays) at Jardin Le Petit Prince in Parc Jean-Drapeau, both on the Fizz stage and on the new second stage, presented by National Bank. The collectives Homegrown Harvest, Ferias, Afrotonik, Kookoo records, Club Sagacité, La Rama, Shift Radio, homeby6, Diet Rave Star, Frikiton, and OCTOV will be bringing out their famously unique ambiance, not to mention MUTEK festival, which has a surprise in store for us!

Diplo, Solomun, Charlotte de Witte: OfF Piknic is Bigger and Better Than Ever! 💥

OfF Piknic is a concert-style event on the Piknic site, alongside the regular Piknic Électronik program. Highlighting the entire EDM scene by hosting its biggest stars, these satellite events will take place on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as a few Thursdays and even one Monday, from late afternoon to nightfall. We're making the most of the Piknic Électronik site to offer additional concerts, so you’ll never miss an opportunity to celebrate the Montreal summer! Five dates have already been announced to the public in recent weeks, including that of the king of Ibiza nights, Solomun, on Friday, May 24. And that's not all! All Day I Dream will make a luscious return on Saturday, June 1, with a star-studded lineup on the decks, and the unique Dom Dolla just a few days later, on the 14th. Techno phenomenon Charlotte de Witte will unleash another tornado on Friday, June 28, while Diplo is making Canada Day his own, on Monday, July 1! Saturday, July 13 is all about the iconic label Anjunadeep. More announcements to come, making this the biggest OfF Piknic season ever!
