Maxime Dangles
It is in the middle of the nineties that Maxime Dangles made his grand entrance into the world of electronic music. His
melodic techno and classy groove fit perfectly with the great label Kompakt, under which he signed his first EPs. This
led artists as prestigious as Moby, Simian Mobile or Royksopp to stop and notice his work, asking him for remixes. In
early 2010, the young southerner chose machines over softwares and digital technology. The music environment he
creates is made of sharp, raw and striking sounds. A conscious turn towards techno, assumed under his darker alias
DNGLS. With this renewed success, since his tracks will be played by the leaders of the genre, Green Velvet even
entrusting him the mission of remixing his Millie Vanillie, leading him to great scenes like Berghain, Rex, Studio 80
and even in China. He then gets closer to labels such as Bedrock, Herzblut, Break New Soil and Skryptöm, from his
friend Electric Rescue, alongside whom he regularly plays live in Möd3rn / Möd4rn with Kmyle and Moteka. Constantly
cultivating his taste and search for fine performances, such as ‘Resilience’, his first album, proclaiming his noise footprint
change, betweeen generous and exalting techno, fluffy electronica and more personnal composition. Maxime Dangles
shows all the signs of maturity, and assumes his eclecticism, though many residences and collaborations such as the
last one SONARS: an organic and captivating live that says a lot about the fragility of the marine environment and that
will soon step into the prestigious SAT in Montreal, in collaboration with MUTEK. Maxime Dangles is undoubtedly an
expert on machines, a promising producer with a futuristic aesthetic, in search of a rare spatial sound.
