Bio

Dead Horse Beats is the stage name of Canadian musician, composer and singer Patrick Wade.

Wade’s output of spacey R&B grooves includes 4 Singles, 2 EPs, 3 full length LPs and countless co-productions, collaborations and official remixes.

As a performer, Wade has entertained thousands at festivals including Pop Montreal, Igloofest, Piknic Elektronic, Mutek and shared the stage with the the likes of RJD2, Breakbot, Cashmere Cat, Lunice, and many others.

As well as a producer and songwriter, Wade’s resume as a composer for film and video includes credits with: the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the National Film Board, Destination Canada, CBC, Frank and Oak, and Carleton University, as well as screenings at Cannes, the National Geographic Festival, Atlantic Film Festival and onboard Air Canada entertainment systems.

Wade’s next album is scheduled for a summer 2019 release with Bastard Jazz Recordings.
