Piknic #3 was truly one of the greatest Piknics we have had during our past few years in Melbourne, the vibe was really special throughout the whole day, the clouds made way for a beautiful Sunday afternoon and the music pulled on the Melbourne-Detroit heart strings.  Motor City ties are strong in this city and by 6pm we were only a few people shy of being a sold out show.  Rambl put the wax down from 2pm and set the scene up for one of the Australia’s (actually we must say, the world’s) greatest techno artists of all time - djHMC.  Dancefloor was heaving by the end of his set and it really brought the techno party atmosphere for, ready for local fave Matt Radovich.

Matt stole some of John Collins fire with the Detroit techno bomb after bomb.  It was such an honour to have Underground Resistance’ Jammin John Collins to close out the show moving from afrofunk beats, through to Detroit techno and house, the vibe was electric.  Prince classic Let’s Go Crazy into Rolando’s Knights of the Jaguar was a defining moment.
