A DJ as well as a producer, NOYL is a militant of the underground belongs to a new generation of Montreal DJ’s who play to the upper registers, passing through dubstep and UK breakbeats, all while leaving ample room for scratching. For influence, DJ NOYL lines up artists such as DJ Fly (World DMC Chmapion 2008), DJ A-Trak, Birdy Nam Nam, Oxmo Puccino, the Parcyde, and many others.
With an uncanny ability to get the club bouncing, NROTB are here to bring a new kind of house music into the mix. It all began when DJ’s Mr. P and Mister Ed met while working as graphic designers, and soon after started throwing their infamous ‘Nu Ravers On The Block’ parties. Eager to avoid the constraints of genre, NROTB create their unique brand of club music by merging anything and everything from Electro to Kuduro, creating bass-heavy Bouncy House music.
With their original live performances, DJ sets and their refusal to be defined by just one genre of music, Dirtyphonics seamlessly fuse drum and bass, electro, dubstep, hip-hop & breaks. Hot on the heels of a recent win at the DNB Arena Awards, Playte, Capskod, Pho, Pitch In and MC Youthstar began performing the live act all over France in 2006. As Dirtyphonics, they’ve received plays from some of dance music’s biggest international selectors, among them Pete Tong, Andy C, Marky, and DJ Hype.
Founded in 2001 by Benoit Simoneau, Beat Concierge began as a collective of DJ’s: Golgo13, Basement Maxxx, Pat Davis et Zed Aksis. After the founder left for Europe, the name was repatriated by Stéphane Mackenzie. Beat Concierge has since also become the production name for the KO dum’n’bass nights, featuring over the past six years collaborators such as Sébastien Fullum, Kiffah, Bind, MK and Atopsy in Québec. Beat Concierge has also organized nights such as Psybass the 13th, 3D Mansion, The Knockout, Fresh on the boat, Party à la tour Lévis 2009, Spor, La Phaze, and Watcha Clan.
