Maxime Robin’s assembled electronic pieces, with rythms akin to JDilla or Prefuse 73, are within earshot of hip-hop culture. A two-time recipient of the ADISQ award for his solo albums, he is also half of the dubstep duo Pax Kingz (the other half being Millimetrik) and half of the irreverent rap duo MC Phylis et Maxime Robin. He was in charge of hip-hop, director of programming, president of the board, and host as well as volunteer at Laval University’s radio station, CHYZ. Currently he writes his own blog at 30bpm.com.
