Program - September 8th + 9th

After the three-day fiesta we just had for Labour Day weekend, bet it feels like summer’s officially over now. Not true! We’re coming back at you this weekend with another massive two-day line-up. On Saturday, we hit you with the final concert in our special Piknic 10 series, and Sunday we’re back with a nostalgia-tinged program that takes us back to our humble beginnings.
First up is the big, BIG final installment of the Piknic 10 series. Starting us off at 6pm this SATURDAY, Montreal’s Forrest has prepared for us the first live set he’s ever done. Riva Starr, who last paid us a visit in 2010, returns at 7pm transformed after her collaboration with Fatboy Slim. Sébastien Léger, who literally set us on fire at a Piknic two years ago and at Igloofest last year (in front of a record public 10,000 people strong), returns at 9pm for the type of insanity only he’s capable of conjuring. We’re a little excited.
*** Keep in mind that tickets are only available at the door for this concert. $20 each, or $18 for those who have a Piknic season pass.
Then, come SUNDAY, the MOOG stage reunites the boys from Epsilonlab crew, who hosted some of Montreal’s best forward-thinking electronic nights back in the late 90s and early 2000’s. For those in the know, these four talents have collectively performed at innumerable Piknic events over our 10 years, and this Sunday we say thanks! The day gets rolling at 2pm with the dark n’ minimal techno of Mateo Murphy, who’s followed up at 4pm by Archipel Musique label boss Pheek. At 5:30pm, Eloi Brunelle, the main man behind the Epsilonlab collective, takes over The Calder. At 7pm, Complot label boss Mossa hits the decks to take us through to the end.
Over on the GURU stage, the Booty Based Mob takes us in an altogether dirtier direction. Tagteaming from 3pm onward, Phil Sparkz, Bongiovanni, and Compton Chic are all set to tear into us with bass!
