Can you believe we’re down to the FINAL Piknic of our tenth season? Why, it feels like it was only last week that we were discussing birthday cake recipes and the benefits of different sunscreens. Now our tans are fading away and the last heatwave is firmly behind us. Don’t be sad! We have one more Sunday to dance together. And then, on the metro ride home, maybe we can cry in each other’s arms.

For us, however, the adventures of outdoor partying never end. This is why we’ve dubbed this final Sunday as an Igloofest @ Piknic event. We think of the break between now and January as time to go shopping for a cool one-piece snowsuit and warm boots. To help us get in the mood, we’ve recruited a pair of hot British DJ’s affiliated with the Leftroom bank of DJ/producers, as well as a trio to tasty locals.

The MOOG stage gets going at 2pm sharp with Beat Boutique’s NoD, whose residency at Salon Daomé has pegged him as a defender of all styles eclectic, provided they mix well with house music. Come 5pm we meet up with British DJ Laura Jones, a Leftroom alumni who is one of the newer faces for the Visionquest family. Following Jones at 7pm is Leftroom label boss Matt Tolfrey, who’s helped break DJs such as Maya Jane Coles and Jozif, among others.

Over at the GURU stage, we get going with Circus Afterhours resident Axel Klein shows us what 3am would look like at 3pm. At 5pm, we tune into the no-nonsense techno of Milton Clark, who prefers the more minimal/electro ends of the spectrum.
