This Saturday, August 11^th, at 1pm, you are invited, dear public, to the 3^rd edition of the Piknic Électronik @ Lachine Canal. For this event, we’re gathering however many party people we can manage, because it’s all on offer for FREE from Parks Canada. You read that correctly. We lay out the Piknic carpet on a prime stretch of canal and set up our signature atmosphere from there.

We get going at 1pm with Music Is My Sanctuary founder Lexis (CA), who takes the stage for a whopping 4.5-hour set that promises to be as eclectic as the young talent’s tastes. Following Lexis at 5:30pm is the hotly tipped UK disco revivalist Floating Points (GB), who as some of you may recall lay down a very impressive set two years ago during our annual MUTEK @ Piknic.

This event ends at 8pm, but the party continues till midnight at the Saint-Ambroise Terrace with our jolly jumpers of the Sud-West: Poirier and Ghostbeard. What’s the best way to get there? Le Petit Navire, hydroplane experts (electric and diesel), will be shuttling back and forth between the Piknic and the terrace from 7:30pm for a modest sum of $5, which includes a surprise at the Sud-West soirée. How to get there? The event will take place south of the Atwater Market, between the Atwater pedestrian overpass and the Charlevoix Bridge (5 minutes from Charlevoix metro station).
